The Danny Fund Thanks Its Sponsors for the 2009 Fundraiser

On September 26th, The Danny Fund will return to the Town Green and host it's annual fundraiser. The Danny Fund would like to thank all the local businesses who are sponsoring this event, including those pictured below.

THE DANNY FUND APPROVES SLATE OF DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS

The Danny Fund is pleased to announce that, at its April 1, 2009 meeting, it approved a new slate of Officers and Directors. The Officers are as follows:

President: Michael Daly
Vice President: Jeanmarie Ward
Vice President- Fundraising: Susan Cartelli
Treasurer: Mary Hearle
Recording Secretary: Judy Rosa
Corresponding Secretary: To be appointed
Chairperson of the Board: Lucy Hoffman-Guido

The Directors are Lisa Lindstrom, Rocco Polera, Margaret Sisto, Jo Bachman, Susan Kowal, Loretta Illustrato, Lynda Reissman, Marie Tracy, and Jenn Walsh.

Honorary Directors include Vincent Cartelli, Joseph Durnin, and Peter Potacki.

A 100-percent volunteer Westchester-based non-profit organization, The Danny Fund provides financial, emotional and advocacy support for the families of children who reside in Westchester and The Bronx and are suffering from a catastrophic illness or injury. Current Danny Fund families are in Commack, Mahopac, Orangeburg, Pelham and Rye Brook.

The Danny Fund was founded in 1993, when a four-year-old Pelham boy named Danny was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Danny responded to his treatment, his cancer is in remission, and he is now leading an active and normal life. Since then, the Fund has helped more than 60 families cope with their enormous burdens.
